The New Administrative Capital is the talk of the town for many people right now, not only in Egypt but in many countries around the world.
So what still worries us and keeps us hesitating to take the step of living or investing in the New Administrative Capital? Let me tell you. Many people who want to start a business and grow their income, or move to a new home, rule out a step like this because the Administrative Capital is far from the busy areas of Cairo and Giza, where many of us work, and where our schools and universities are.
The good news is that we no longer need a car to do it, because the Monorail is about to solve this problem. It will be the magic key that makes it easy to decide to invest or live in the New Administrative Capital.
The Monorail, or suspended train, will do the same job as the metro, moving people quickly and easily from place to place at a low cost. It will also help ease the traffic on the streets below, because we will reach the Administrative Capital and other areas quickly while gliding through the air.
The Administrative Capital Monorail is a leap forward for public transport in Egypt. It is also environmentally friendly, as it runs on electricity, and it needs no clearing of land or homes, since it is designed as a driverless single-rail train running on a concrete beam. It will have 22 stations over a total length of 56.5 km. Perhaps the main importance of the Monorail, the first suspended electric train of its kind in Egypt, is that it will connect Greater Cairo with the Administrative Capital and make travel from Cairo and Giza to New Cairo and the Capital much easier. It meets Metro Line 3 at the Stadium station in Nasr City, which will be an interchange between the metro and the Monorail, and it also meets the electric train at the City of Arts station in the New Administrative Capital.
The Monorail runs at the speed of a regular metro, 80 km per hour, so with the traffic of Cairo and Giza it will be a far better and faster way to get around. The journey from the Stadium station to Al-Adala City in the east of the Administrative Capital will take only 60 minutes, and the line will carry about 1,150,000 passengers a day.
The line from the New Administrative Capital to the Al-Mosheer Mosque station, about 45 km long, is expected to open at the end of May 2022, followed by the line from the Al-Mosheer Mosque station to the Stadium station, about 11.5 km long, in February 2023.
The Monorail will make it easier for residents, employees and visitors to travel to and from the Administrative Capital, and the commute will no longer stand in the way of anyone deciding to buy or invest in the New Administrative Capital.
The New Administrative Capital is the talk of the town for many people right now, not only in Egypt but in many countries around the world. We keep hearing that the Capital is the future, that whoever wants to invest wisely should buy there, and that whoever wants a better standard of living should think about moving there.
